Grandfriend was set in motion by jane Potter after realising there was a need for this type of service, jane also feels strongly that grandparents are a good support to a family and that everyone should have access to them. Grandfriend hopes to operate first in Worcestershire and then the aim would be to have Grandfriend set up in other parts of the country too. Kentucky Fried Garden is my journal of vegetable gardening in humid western Kentucky USDA zone 6b. Knowing where my food comes from and whether it comes from non-genetically modified seed is important to me. I try to use open pollinated varieties in an effort to continue maintaining the diversity of food plants available to humans. Trying to extend the harvest by experimenting with hardier varieties and overwintering plants will be one of my projects.
